Lizzo is the queen of tiny purses. The singer has rocked micro bags on the regular, a particular highlight being the vintage Louis Vuitton pochette bag she’s carried, among many other styles. Her love for the minuscule accessory hit its peak at last year’s American Music Awards, when an image of the star posing with the tiniest Valentino bag went viral. (The cheeky style, custom made by the Italian label, could fit a bread crumb and that’s about it).
Now she’s taking that idea to its ultimate (and most hilarious) conclusion. Today, she uploaded a TikTok video that spoofs her obsession with the world’s tiniest bags. In it, she dispels the belief that her beloved tiny bags are impractical, magically pulling out a large (and random) assortment of goods from her micro bag. This time around, her purse of choice comes courtesy of Jacquemus, the French label largely credited with ushering in micro proportions. (Think her dainty carry-all can only fit a lip gloss? Think again!)
She begins by taking out a pencil, a TV remote, and a packet of Pringles from her bag. Afterwards, a bottle of wine emerges. (Happy hour on the go!) It doesn’t end there. A friend then asks what Lizzo is wearing for the night. She responds by pulling out a whole neon lace dress, and even a brown wig to go with it—though the latter sends her overboard. “I don’t have room for this in my bag!” She retorts.
Though the singer pokes fun at the ridiculousness of her obsession throughout the clip, something tells us she won’t be letting go of it anytime soon. Because once a mini bag girl, always a mini bag girl.
